Passenger Car Tyres
Founded in 2002, Jiangsu General Science Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as GS) is a modern high-tech enterprise focusing on the R&D, production, and sales of high-quality tires. In September 2016, GS was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in China. GS has three production bases in China, Thailand, and Cambodia, with a dedicated and professional marketing team and a well-distributed sales network. GS sells products in more than 70 countries and regions, like the United States, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
The Thailand production base is located in Rayong Industrial Park, Thailand, close to Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, and Laem Chabang deep-water port. With a total investment of 300 million US dollars, the factory covers an area of about 510,000 square meters. It features a yearly production capacity of 1 million all-steel radial tires and 6 million semi-steel radial tires. In 2022, GS opened the Cambodian factory as its second overseas production base to accelerate international development.
Technology and Product Innovation
GS always pays attention to the innovation of tire science and technology. It has established a technology center and a nationally recognized laboratory to undertake national and provincial innovative projects and conduct in-depth collaboration with scientific research institutes, universities, and world-class suppliers. With more than 390 authorized patents, GS’s patent quantity ranks top three in China’s tire industry.
Based on a complete set of the most cutting-edge R&D, production, and testing equipment imported from the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Japan, and an elite team with world-class tire R&D experience, GS continues to develop top-notch tire products. As the first all-steel radial tire manufacturer in China to have two different tire production technologies featuring zero-degree belt structure and four-layer belt structure simultaneously, GS took the lead in developing short-distance industrial and mining tires. As a result, these tires meet the unique needs of mine transportation in the industry, which has gained the reputation of "China's No.1 Mining Tire". Further, it has developed a cutting-edge TPI compound used in TBR products, creating a new era of all-steel tubeless wear-resistant tires. For PCR tires, GS focuses on developing "a new generation of safety tires" and launched Celimo anti-puncture tires to fix the pain point of tire puncture and air leakage and improve safety performance.
Smart Factory: Intelligent Tire Manufacturing
As one of the leading companies in China's tire industry, GS continues to promote the concept of intelligent, green, and high-end enterprises. Using advanced technologies such as 5G, the Internet of Things, the Internet, and Artificial Intelligence, GS has built a data-driven industrial brain and digital tire production cycle to achieve flexible manufacturing, intelligent decision-making, and product customization. It's worth mentioning that our PCR factory in China took the lead in realizing the operation of the "Dark Factory" in the tire industry. Further, the Special National Funds supported the new TBR all-steel factory to build an Industry 4.0 smart factory, improving GS's overall productivity, technological leapfrogging, and industrial upgrading. As a result, GS ranked first in Internet Weekly's "2021 Smart Factory TOP200" list.
